I really want to add my endorsement of Judi's Grief Ministry Workshop.
ReplyDeleteJudi has done a lot of work over the last couple of years to qualify
herself to give this training, including a certificate at Mohawk
College and extensive work with excellent and experienced mentors. The
material she will share is helpful to those required to bring ministry
to all kinds of loss--death/bereavement by suicide, accident, old
age...
It is also useful for any kind of loss for which people experience
grief and mourning--job loss, relationship loss, moves away from home.
I was surprised at just how very relevant it was for so many
situations and circumstances. And it is very, very practical!
This is a workshop that truly "equips for ministry."
If you can't make this one, please consider inviting Judi to your
congregation. We are blessed to have someone who has truly qualified
herself to help make us better ministers. Let your people know as
well, that it's not just for priesthood. All of us can bring ministry
in the face of loss. It's worthwhile if only to know what to say and
what not to say.
Tell Judi I said Hi :-)
